The Detox Mask
The L’oreal pure clay detox mask with charcoal is meant to act like a magnet to draw out the impurities and clarify normal, congested skin. It comes in a 50ml pot so there’s plenty of product and makes it easy to apply! Clay masks are one of my favourites to try. I often suffer with a congested and oily t-zone so using them helps to combat this. I’ve seen some reviews of these masks by L’oreal and finally caved when one of my closest friends, Maz, recommend I try it. The masks are often on offer in Superdrug, Boots or Savers so it’s worth keeping an eye out!
I decided to bring this mask with me whilst visiting my sister so we could have a little pamper night one evening. We both have congested skin at the moment so this was a perfect mask to try out! The mask felt nice once applied, I sometimes suffer from sensitive skin however this didn’t irritate me at all. It has the usual tightening feeling once dried out which is usual with all clay masks and I like that you can sort of see the mask working when it absorbs some of the oil and dirt. It applied nicely though and spread out evenly, you can feel it drying fairly quickly which I liked!
Once the mask had dried it was fairly easy to remove with hot water and a flannel. Once removed, it left my skin feeling super soft. I’m also fairly certain it has helped with a couple of my blackheads. After one use it’s hard to say if it’s my new favourite clay mask although first impressions are good! I really can’t fault it especially for the price and the fact you get 50ml, a great drug store product.
I’m interested to try the other two masks in this range! Let me know below if you’ve tried them and your thoughts!
