The Skincare I Take Away With Me Skiing

skiing skincare

When I was packing for my ski holiday this year I decided to try and pack as lightly as possible when it came to skincare. I bought these Muji pots last year and they’ve come in so handy for taking skincare away with me, I love how you can build them up into mini skincare towers. I also bought a couple of the separate pots for cleaners as I needed something a little larger to carry these in. If you’re thinking of buying travel sized pots for your make up or skincare ect I really recommend these Muji ones as they are so affordable too. I thought I’d take you through s0me of the skincare I took away with me…

Cleansers

For cleansers I took along the Body Shop Cleansing Butter which is perfect for removing any make up and also the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish which is a lovely cream cleanser so really nourishing on the skin. I really wanted something really hydrating and comforting on the skin when cleansing as the cold weather often plays havoc on my skin so using a nice creamy cleanser is a must.

Eye Creams

For day time I used the Simple Soothing Eye Balm a nice lightweight cream which added a nice amount of hydration to the under eye section, it also helps my concealer to sit nicely. For night time I took along my favourite evening eye cream from Kiehl’s – the creamy eye treatment with Avocado. It’s one of my favourites and so hydrating for my under eye area, perfect for the super cold weather whilst skiing.

Moisturisers

For moisturising my skin I took the Kiehl’s ultra facial cream which is the only moisturiser I currently use for day and night – it’s my favourite. It did such a great job at hydrating my skin and protecting it from the extremely cold weather! For a little extra moisture I also took along the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask which is one of the best hydrating masks I’ve used. I used this most evenings as the skin around my nose and t zone took a bit of a battering with the cold weather and this helped to fix things.

SPF

Wearing SPF is important and especially so when skiing as this time round it was so sunny during the day. My favourite one to use is the Kiehl’s Ultra Light Daily Defence one as it sinks into the skin so well and is SPF 50 so nice and high.
