Skiing Photo Diary Saalbach – Hinterglemm

Mountain views

I’m currently sat at home, wishing I was still in Austria spending time in the mountains and the sunshine. I wanted to share a few photos from my ski trip earlier this year, as we had the most unbelievably perfect week with the best snow conditions and weather – yay sunshine! (although it was bloody cold) I go skiing every year with the family – it’s something we always do together. Normally we go a little earlier in the season but thankfully we timed it just right this year as the resort was also relatively quiet meaning we had some of the slopes to ourselves some mornings.

The views throughout the week were just incredible – more so than usual because of the brilliant sunshine we had (although the temperatures were the coldest we’ve skied in years) It also wasn’t too busy so luckily we never had to wait too long for any of the lifts and the slopes never felt too crowded. Also as we had great weather throughout the week – we were able to spend all day on the slopes so managed to watch some of the sunsets on our way down whilst enjoying a well deserved drink!

We love coming back to the same resort, this was out eighth visit to Saalbach Hinterglemm and it won’t be our last. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough, there’s just so much to do here with plenty of skiing available so you never get bored. They also have a fantastic lift system across the whole resort so if you’re a snowboarder who can’t use drag lifts (like me) then this is fantastic. They’re also always updating and adding new lifts/ slopes so every time we come back there’s normally something new to try out.¬†You can also get across to Leogang and Fieberbrunn so there’s plenty to ski, we went to both and Leogang was a lot of fun to ski especially in the sun!
